  • The Agave 'Blue Glow' is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece that looks as though it was designed by a digital artist. It features elegant, chalky blue-green leaves with striking red and yellow margins. Unlike many agaves, it stays relatively compact and does not produce "pups" (offsets) frequently, maintaining its perfect geometric shape. This plant is a deliberate hybrid between Agave ocahui and Agave attenuata. While its parent species are native to Mexico, 'Blue Glow' was bred to combine the cold hardiness and sharp lines of one parent with the smooth, manageable texture of the other.

As a Century Plant, it takes decades to bloom. When it finally does, it produces a massive, towering flower spike that can reach several feet high, featuring clusters of yellowish-green blossoms. Because it is monocarpic, the plant will die after this spectacular flowering event, but since this usually takes 10 to 15+ years, it remains a long-term companion in the garden.

All of the plants may be shipped bare root
  • Thrives in full sun to light shade. To see the famous "glow" on the leaf edges, it needs plenty of bright light.

Requires rocky, sharply draining soil. A mixture of cactus potting soil with added gravel, pumice, or decomposed granite is ideal. It cannot tolerate soggy roots.

Once established, it is extremely drought-tolerant. Water sparingly roughly once every 2 weeks in summer and once a month (or less) in winter.

Great Product, 2 years and running!
Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable
It’s been almost 2 years and my dogs haven’t destroyed them yet. I have a Pitbull and a Pit/Cosro mix. They destroy every toy we’ve given them, except these toys. Great product 100% worth the money

Perfect for HEAVY chewers
Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable
My dog is a heavy chewer. Destroys everything that’s not very hard rubber, hard plastic, or hard material. He LOVES this ball. I think it’s his favorite. Plus, it bounces great so you can play with your dog. Very well constructed- probably indestructible or will at least last a very long time. Easily worth the money.

The only toy my dogs can’t destroy and love
Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable
I am thrilled to have found one toy my dogs don’t destroy immediately. They have torn up Fenrir hammers, the black kongs of all sizes, the monster k9 stick, nylabones, and they don’t like the goughnut at all (it stinks like a bad tire). This is the first one they both love and haven’t been able to destroy immediately. It does allow little tooth marks, but that’s what makes it fun for them. They are very happy playing with it and I’d say this one was worth every dollar. Update Months Later: We’ve gone through 2/3 now. I got two initially, and one has lasted long term. They still haven’t completely destroyed it. They did destroy a second one quickly so I suspect a flaw in it. They sent me a new one and they took a while, but they did destroy the third to the point we had to throw it away. Despite that, one still remains and our dogs still love it. It’s still the best for the money compared to others. We have two Bully XL’s that are each close to 100 pounds.

Indestructible
Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable
This is actually indestrutible! Be careful though, it's wicked hard/heavy. It isn't a ball you want banging into things. Use outside!!

Not indestructible, but the best I’ve found
Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable, Color: Onyx Black - Most Durable
This thing is unexpectedly heavy for its size. My 18 month old Giant Schnauzer is obsessed with fetch but destroys every ball she gets. The other brands marketed for extreme chewers tend to last about a day or two before they’re totally shredded. She’s had this one for about 2 weeks and it’s looking rough, but still holding together for the most part. I appreciate that as it comes apart it does so in little pieces rather than large chunks. While it’s far from indestructible, it’s the strongest I’ve found so far.
