During the sixties there was a real movement embracing the glamour of the 1920s and little pieces like this amazing dress were the end result. They also were amazing pieces to wear while doing some of the popular dances of the day like the Twist since they had such tremendous movement. The dress is off-white in color with layers of fringe placed head to toe, even including those fabulous off-shoulder straps. Each layer is set on an angle towards the middle of the body and placed to end just above the other so you see a solid dress of fringe when you stand still and then the slightest movement causes them to explode and move. It is cut to skim over your curves and and has a bit of a burlesque or showgirl vibe. The shoulders are really fabulous and I love how they drape off. Excellent condition with one small note below
The dress is fully lined in an off-white taffeta feel rayon stretch. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. Note there is one small area of fringe missing as photoed - wearable still as is or you could probably steal a little from else where. Priced accordingly
