vintage long sleeve wedding dress Vintage Long-Sleeve Court Train Wedding Gown With Detachable Watteau C – Very BreezyThis romantic vintage wedding gown was made in the 1960s and is completely one of a kind. It features a high neck shape and long sleeves. I love that it is a true ivory rather than bright white (which can be harsh on some skintones), and there is beautiful Alenon lace all over, with romantic eyelash edges. The texture of the lace is given another dimension with delicate pearl embellishment throughout the effect of all these details looks even more

This romantic vintage wedding gown was made in the 1960s and is completely one-of-a-kind. It features a high-neck shape and long sleeves. I love that it is a true ivory rather than bright-white (which can be harsh on some skintones), and there is beautiful Alençon lace all over, with romantic eyelash edges. The texture of the lace is given another dimension with delicate pearl embellishment throughout— the effect of all these details looks even more expensive and beautiful in person. The outer layer of the dress is semi-sheer, and it is lined through the bodice and skirt in a more structured material, to give it shape and body. There is horse-hair in the hem to create a gorgeous sweep. The sleeves are unlined and the area above the neckline is lined in sheer mesh, allowing some skin to subtly peek though.

The most amazing part of this dress, though, is the versatility: the watteau cape back is detachable, with hidden hooks at the back neck, so it can be worn with or without for two distinct looks. (It's so easy to put on and take away so it would be great to just remove it for the reception, after you make an entrance, etc.) The skirt of the dress itself is slightly longer in the back, and adding the cape gives you more length. The matching veil and mantilla headpiece were made for the dress, with matching lace and fabrication. The entire look reminds me of the wedding look Candice Bergen wore in 1969's "The Adventurers." (It was designed by Robert Paterson and is one of my all-time favorite wedding looks in film.) The Vintage Earrings pictured are also available.

Measurements: This will best fit a size Small (possibly Medium) but please refer to below measurements to be sure.

Shoulders: 14.5" between shoulder seams, actual shoulder is about 16"

Chest: 33"

Waist: 27.5—28"

Hips are free

Length: 52" from shoulder to front hem; back hem is about 3" longer; 68.5" from shoulder to cape's hem

Veil: approximately 95.5" total length

Great vintage condition. There is a minor marking on the detachable cape but it largely disappears in the draping/folds of fabric. Some miscellaneous pearls of the embellishment are slightly varying in color but it's only noticeable when closely inspected. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email [email protected] for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
