Original vintage 1950s Purple velvet cocktail dress.

Designed in a beautiful deep purple velvet, this dress is a cut with classic 1950s shaping. A fitted bandeau bodice, straps creating a square neckline and a large bow trimming the back. The nipped in waist shows of the full box pleated skirt that falls to below the knee. Lined bodice.

Age: 1950s

Condition: in good / fair wearable condition. Sadly some slight colour fading to the left side of the skirt. An even 2 inch stripe from waist to hem. Homemade with untidy construction inside.
No other marks or damage of note. 
Dry cleaned, steamed and Ready to Wear. 
As with most vintage items, this suit has been previously worn and is over 50 years old.
