This rare vintage 1960s Oscar de la Renta embellished dress is made with couture-level craftsmanship and is a true wearable work of art. Born in the Dominican Republic, Oscar de la Renta worked in Europe through the 1950s when French fashion was at such a pivotal point— first as a designer for Balenciaga, and later as assistant designer to Antonio Castillo at Lanvin-Castillo, Paris from 1961-1963. In the 1960s, he brought what he had learned working at the couture house to New York, and eventually started his own label, which, in a way, was the true "American couture house" of its time. He is known for feminine, ornate styles, and his attention to detail, and this dress is no exception. It is so beautifully made from the inside out, crafted of the most gorgeous floral lace, with metallic gold and white raffia-esque embroidery. It is fully lined in silk in the bodice and skirt but sheer in the arms, and I love that the sheerness allows the details to really shine. The embellishment creates a bolero trompe-l'œil, a nod to the styles of the 1960s. This embellishment is so intricate and ornate, and really like nothing I've seen before— gold chains, strands of crystals, and gold metallic rope are deftly braided to create this gorgeous trim. The V-neck gives way to a hidden front opening, which closes with strategically placed hooks and snaps.

The Vintage 1960s Pearl Cascade Earrings pictured are also available

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small and Small but please refer to below measurements to be sure.
Shoulders: 13.5" between shoulder seams
Chest: 32.5" laid flat (with additional room, because of the deep V-neck)
Waist: 25"
Hips are open
Sleeves: 22.5"
Length: 33.25" from shoulder to hem

Good vintage condition overall; there are some minor imperfections to note, including minor areas of discoloration but because of all the details, textures, and embellishment, it gets lost in the fabric and appears to be part of the design/isn't noticeable when worn. There are some areas where the lace/tulle has been repaired but it also isn't noticeable when worn. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email [email protected] for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.

¿Snake oil? At least it worked for me
Style: Modifier, Style: Modifier
Very cheap compared to buying it locally, here in my country. Used the Ceratec with the Leuchtlauf High Tech oil. 143K miles on my 2.5 mk6 Jetta. It started to make some tappet/lifters noise, very minimal but it was there. As soon as I started the engine, and about 30 minutes in , I could clearly hear the difference. How I heard the difference? With the hood closed now I can barely hear the engine, unless I put my ear close to the grille. Now I only hear the working injectors. Totally recommended. Can’t speak about gas consumption, I’ll have to drive 500-1000 miles to speak confidently. Recommended for giving older engines a longer lifespan. Update: After 15 days or so, and about 150-200miles later, I noticed my Jetta’s engine feels lighter and smoother. No placebo effect, it’s just there. Since I bought two Ceratec bottles, I used the second bottle on a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with the Mivec 2.0 engine. These engines are quite noisy, specially the injection noises, and I had a very concerning lifters ticking. I did my oil change yesterday, and today the ticking is gone, all I did was use Liquimolys engine flush, Valvoline oil and the Ceratec. I’ll post an update if I get better fuel economy and smoothness on my Mitsu.

Durable and well fitting
Durable and well fitting. I drive a Honda Accord 2014 and when the under engine covers started falling off I used these to replace the ones that came off. They work well and the prying tool made replacing the retainers easier.
