Ways to use it:

  • Drizzle over vanilla ice cream or cheesecake for an effortlessly elegant dessert
  • Pair with our Basil Infused Olive Oil for a show-stopping salad dressing
  • Spoon over fresh strawberries, peaches, or a summer fruit salad to intensify the flavors
  • Glaze grilled chicken or pork chops for a sweet, tangy finish that steals the show
  • Drizzle over brie or goat cheese on a charcuterie board and watch it disappear
  • Mix into sparkling water or lemonade for a refreshing, grown-up spritzer
  • Reduce into a syrup and drizzle over waffles or pancakes instead of maple syrup

Whether you're dressing a salad or finishing a dessert, this is the bottle that makes people ask, "What is that amazing flavor?"

Where does it come from? Here's the story! Too long...then just scroll on by!

Modena is an amazing city in the heart of Italy’s Emilia Romagna region between Parma and Bologna. Like most of the Emilia-Romagna provinces, the area where Modena now stands was part of the ancient pre-Roman Etruscan civilization’s territory before Rome took over. The inner city is a perfectly preserved medieval town with cobblestone streets and one of Italy’s most striking cathedrals. The Duomo of Modena is a 12th-Century cathedral dedicated to St. Germain and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its impressive Gothic architecture.

Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is an ancient product having been recorded in the royal archives of Emperor Henry II in 1046, when he gave some as a gift to Countess Matilde of Canossa. At that time it was used as an elixir and the recipe was a secret, passed from father to son. Since then, Balsamic Vinegar has been known as a precious condiment with special therapeutic properties.

Our supplier began their artisan vinegar company in 1889. Surrounded by rural farmlands and a passion for the Earth’s bounty, the company continues under the watchful eye of the third generation.

Prepared using ancient traditional procedures, the process begins with careful selection of the Lambrusco and Trebbiano grapes. They are ideal for the high sugar content required for production. These grapes are pressed and the resulting juice called “must” is heated in copper cauldrons until the volume is reduced through evaporation to about 40% of the original weight. The liquid is then decanted into wooden barrels (chestnut, oak, juniper and cherry) and left to age and transform into vinegar. As time goes by, part of the liquid evaporates and part of the liquid is absorbed into the wood. This is the moment called “rincalzo” which happens in the period of grape harvest. The liquid is transferred into smaller barrels while the new “must” is added to “top off” the bigger barrel. And so continues the process.

25 Star quality is the base for all of our dark & white balsamic options

The true artisan quality product from centuries old recipes. The vinegar is aged in small barrels under the traditional methods with strict controls. It reaches a perfect balance of aroma and flavor when fully mature.

Fades stubborn dark spots fast
I have used this product for about six months to target dark and red spots left behind after my zits clear up. I was honestly surprised at how much it helped fade stubborn discoloration, even after just one use. Pros -Noticeable reduction in discoloration after one use -More effective for small spots than typical serums -Targets persistent dark/red marks specifically Cons -Effects can fade if not used regularly Overall, this has become my go-to for spot treatment because it works quickly and is more targeted than a general serum. I especially appreciate how it faded a stubborn old mark in just one application. A five star rating feels appropriate because it delivers visible results on stubborn discoloration, though consistency is needed to maintain the effect.

Buy them!
Ok I was a little hesitant based off these reviews but I decided to try them anyways. OMG I am a chronic face picker and cause sooo much scarring. And I always do it right before summer which causes horrible dark spots that take years to fade. Well I had one that was in a particularly noticeable spot and omg after only 3 days…3 it looks so much better with these patches!!! Don’t get me wrong it isn’t gone but for 3 days that is unreal. I will be using until it’s gone for sure!

Subtle but works!!
Okay there are PRICEY for the small amount you receive. I believe they work for sure and will buy them again but which they would put a FEW MORE in a pack because they are not like miracle patched and you definitely need two packs to see a significant difference.

Did nothing for hyperpigmentation, worked well on active blemish
I use these for an active blemish and they work well for reducing inflammation and redness. They are marketed for hyperpigmentation, but they didn’t seem to have much of an effect on lingering redness from an old breakout after a few uses so I decided to use them on a whitehead that popped up on my chin. I bought two packages and had passed the return window so I figured couldn’t hurt. After a few hours with this patch on, the whitehead and surrounding redness virtually disappeared. They are almost invisible on the skin IF you can remove them from their clamshell packaging without scrunching up and wrinkling the edge of patch. BIG IF!!! Most of the time I mess up the edge of the patch making the wrinkled edge visible on my face. I wear them around the house so I don’t really care about that, but it’s worth mentioning. You have to remove them from the packaging VERY carefully to keep the patch smooth. I’ve been mostly unsuccessful at removing them without scrunching up an edge. Oh well. Peach Slices makes a similar product for acne, “deep blemish microdarts”. I haven’t tried those, nor do I plan to because the amount of product that you get for either kind of micro dart is not a good value to me. I wish these were less expensive. I do like the way the micro dart feels when you apply it- kind of a satisfying stinging sensation- like the ingredients are really penetrating. I would not call it painful. A moment of sting and it’s on there doing it’s job. It stays on well while doing basic daily activities (like doing the dishes, working at a desk). Can’t say how it would hold up to something more vigorous like a jog or bike ride or anything that would make you break a sweat. I like the product and the result on blemishes, but I can’t justify the cost. A warm compress and followed by a vitamin C serum on a blemish works just as well and it’s way more cost effective, albeit less convenient. Also, the ingredients in the product description are incomplete. See photo- they contain Butylene Glycol which is sometimes irritating to my skin. Luckily, these patches didn’t irritate me. Having to 3rd party check the ingredients for cosmetics from Amazon irritates me though 😒 If these are affordable for you for the occasional blemish, I would recommend. Did nothing for hyperpigmentation and way too expensive for me to combat a full breakout or even a daily random pimple. I’ll use the ones I have but would not purchase again.

Didn’t Work for Me
This purchase was a complete waste of time and money for me. The dots did absolutely nothing to reduce the color of a sun spot on my cheek. I used them according to the instructions for consecutive days. The dots are gone, but the spot on my skin remains as dark as before. Maybe they work better for pimple discoloration.
